1. Chocolate is made from the seeds of the tree Theobroma cacao. (in greek meaning 'food of the gods') and contains over 300 chemicals and it is not known how all of these affect humans.
2. It stimulates the release of endorphins, natural body hormones that generate feelings of pleasure and well-being.
3. Chocolate contains magnesium which is a shortage that happen during womens’ PMT period.
4. Chocolate's iron content may help to cure minor anemia during prenancy.
5. Chocolate also contains theobromine which it serves to relax the smooth muscles in the linings of the lung.
6. Chocolate contains tryptophan can produce feelings of elation.
7. Another chemical called phenylethylamine in chocolates will help to promote feelings of attraction and excitement.
8. However, chemicals like tryptophan and phenylethylamine are present in chocolate only in very small quantities.
9. The husks of the cocoa beans from which chocolate is made contain an antibacterial agent that fights plaque but are usually removed during manufacturing of chocolates.
10. Chocolates are considered as toxin food to dogs and domestic animal like horses.
